Award-Winning Marketing Professional Joins Blue Mine Group
Mona Klausing to Manage Firm's Expanding Portfolio of Emerging Growth Technology Clients
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2004--Blue Mine Group, a strategic marketing communications firm, has appointed Mona Klausing as Account Director to help manage its growing portfolio of technology clients. Mona has over 12 years of management expertise serving companies in the telecom, wireless, Internet, biotech and non-profit sectors. With a broad marketing and media relations background, strong industry contacts and a successful track record of introducing new products and services, Mona was honored earlier this month with a 2004 Star Award by the Performing Arts League for two strategic marketing plans she developed for arts organizations."We are very excited to add Mona as a senior member of our team," remarked Michael Lurie, Blue Mine Group founder and CEO. Prior to joining Blue Mine Group, Mona founded accolade, a marketing, publicity & fundraising consulting practice serving technology, non-profit and performing arts clients. Concurrently, she served as director, San Diego Bureau of Candelori Communications -- a technology communications firm with headquarters in Sunnyvale -- recruiting and supervising a diverse array of clients including Novatel Wireless, Ethertronics and TiE San Diego. Previously, she was the director of product marketing at Invertix Corp., a privately held wireless infrastructure software developer in the wireless instant messaging and mCommerce fields; and manager, marketing & media relations at Novatel Wireless Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL), a wireless Internet device manufacturer, where she managed the channel, corporate and product marketing groups, and helped it evolve from start-up phase to IPO.
Earlier in her career, Mona held marketing management positions at BioSafety Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of over 200 biomedical products; and AucNet U.S.A., a subsidiary of an $800 million Japanese satellite auction network. In those roles, she was responsible for new product introductions, publicity and domestic/international marketing communications programs.
Fluent in Spanish and Japanese, Mona holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD); an Intermediate degree in Japanese Language from Kai Japanese School in Tokyo; and has been awarded a CTM by Toastmasters International.
